Purpose - Schmurpose!

Purpose – schmurpose! LOL 20 days down and I've spent most of it rather down … but not quite out... due to some of life's unexpected troubles. :( The damages are reversing, healing, returning to normal, slowly. But, as usual, it's not going to stop me from moving toward my goals!

And I am still moving ahead WITH PURPOSE! I am determined that even starting my business month 33% behind (so to speak) will not keep me from building my business!

Same for SPARKnEarthlyBest – no progress to report, but no backsliding either!

On the green front... we are doing LOTS BETTER at eating REAL FOODS! I found a few new blogs to follow in this effort of avoiding processed foods more:

If you have any interest at all in eating less processed foods, more organic foods, or more local foods you may find one or all of these very helpful! :)

And with ANDEE365 – Wow! Have we been 'thru the ringer' and then some! It wasn't fun. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. :( However, we have had some extensive family discussions about the things that have happened and the things that could yet happen. These have resulted in a number of things improving around here. But there are still some “issues” to resolve ~ aren't there always such things in large families? LOL So, we move ahead! We go forward WITH PURPOSE! We take stock of where we are at; where we want to go; and which path(s) we want to take to get there.

I do have to say this: In the last 20 days I've talked to a number of locals and met some really nice people! This makes me look forward even more to what's ahead as I seek out more and more of the people of my little town and help them understand what a wonderful thing I have for them with my company! :) There are lots of hard-working folks around here who are barely getting by and really struggling to find that “something” that will help them get to the next check, help them get to feeling better so they can do more to meet their families' needs, and give them hope for a brighter future. Before long they will all know! I can't wait to share what I have with all of them!!!

I close with this:

"Your time is limited so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

060 ~ Laundry

Saturday - Dec 18th -
busy day with Dany here, kids gone,
and so many plans to accomplish...
beginning with Sis & Dany's laundry!
Dany helped to sort it - all seven loads of it!
Once the first load was dry we pretty much
spent the rest of the day doing laundry!
Sis arrived, after work,
with one load washing,
one load drying,
two loads finished
(folded and waiting to go home with them)
and three loads yet to dry.
Our washer has always been faster than our dryer.
lol
Right before Sis arrived at my place
I discovered my washer had finally died.
That's been a process in the works for several weeks now...
we knew it was coming...
but we all were wishing and hoping that it would not happen
until my Melaleuca business was bringing in more money.
But's it's late - and I'm beat -
so not going to mess with this problem tonight!

The only pic I have for today...
my favorite flowers :)

059 ~ Fibro

Friday - Dec 17th -
My plan was to work on business from 10 to 2
but much of my day was lost
dealing with fibro flaring..............
...........some days I just cannot win!

So just enjoy still more blizzard pics!

058 ~ WHY TRY?

Thursday - Dec 16th -

Yes! I have still more pics from around town of all the snow
from our weekend blizzard!!!

6am I'm up and running!
TODAY should work out to actually work my business!
There's issues with the girls - Becca's not feeling well - breakfast isn't going well - Jessi's running late for her morning ministry.  There's laundry to get moving; dishes to be washed and put away.  I need to print off some things before getting started with my phone calls.  There are countless calls coming in - none work related - but all needing something right away!

Finally I get a little time - and all I get are message machines! :(
It's SO FRUSTRATING!!!
Today is the last day for $1 enrollments... unless...
if you got in 2 enrollments already you can get 2 more $1 enrollment kits for the rest of the month; OR if you got in 4 enrollments already you can continue with unlimited enrollments all month!  Must be done by midnight Mountain time!
90 minutes to go - and I got nothing - no one - nada - zip - zilch!  :(  Grrrr

Times like this I feel like "WHY TRY?!"
You know - I'm fighting high odds every single day!  My mom, my brothers, my dad, my stepmom, my stepsibs, nieces, nephews, ... let's just say most all of my family thinks this is just "another one of those scams that take your money and leave you with nothing but a bunch of products nobody wants."
They don't expect me to make anything of this -
just like a dozen other "home-based businesses" I've done in the past.
But, my sister wants to try it;
and I have 2 daughters who are willing to give it go....
but I have to be able to see more success
if I'm going to be of any help to them!
Most of the friends I've asked to consider
 this business or these products
have backed away not wanting to even take a close look at it.
:(
They have no idea what they are missing!!!
:(
And I'm not giving up, or giving in!!!

014 ~ Haircuts

Today was an interesting day!

We had appointments in La Crosse... so six of us left about 10 a.m. and didn't get back home until almost 3 p.m.  Then we had to split up as each had other appointments to get to.

At some point during the day in La Crosse I noticed my niece had taken scissors to her bangs (again) since I saw her last (on Monday).  She's been wanting to go back to "Wild Hair" salon and have her hair cut and styled.  They charge only $1 per year for kids.  They managed to tame a bad haircut (another do-it-myself-job-of-Dany's) and make it look decent for the start of school.  Dany's been saying she wants to go back there a lot the last week or so.  Monday night she decided to "do-it-herself" again thinking that would make us take her there right away!  WRONG!!!

I may try to get a better view later... but the 2/3 of her bangs that she cut were cut almost to the scalp way at the top of her forehead.  I'm thinking we're going let it grow out the whole month before taking her in to get it "fixed" and hope she will choose NOT to do it herself in the future.  But we can't reward her for doing this now by taking her in ASAP to get it looking better and give her the cut and style she's wanting.  (Reward her bad behavior? NO WAY!!!)

My appointment at 3 p.m. was a bust!  We, my triplets and I, were supposed to view an apartment we may be moving to.  Thing was, none of the keys that management or maintenance had turned in the lock!  They tried to reach to the present tenants, without success.  So we've rescheduled for 9 a.m. tomorrow.

The day ended with a certain 8-year-old climbing out her second-floor bedroom window onto the roof... resulting in grounding for the whole month!  What a day!

009 ~ Frustration & Fun

Frustration was the word of the day Thursday!

Internet, phone & cable were on when we woke up.  Having gone out a little before midnight Wednesday night we all went to bed hoping it would all be working fine in the morning.  And it was, at first.  Every so often pages would fail to load but then 10-15 minutes later would load up fine.  Phone calls would get intermittent silence, odd interruptions of static, or just be completely dropped.  One phone call I had took us three times of calling each other back to completely say all we needed to discuss!  Very frustrating!

It was also the first day that I can say I was up and doing more normal things since I got sick back on the 11th, and especially so since the 15th when my illness took a bad turn for the worse.  I found myself tiring very quickly even though I did not feel sick (except for the coughing).  Also very frustrating!

So much to do - and so much keeping me from doing it!

When such days happen, and they will from time to time, I like to do something to get my mind off the frustration and not be so stressed from it.

The result is a bonus of two pics for today's blog (yesterday's really)!

In pic one we have four players in a game of frisbee.  Taken at the end of summer picnic.  It was a small picnic, somewhat impromptu, but those that came had lots of fun!
In pic two we have four more players. What we only catch a glimpse of here is the ninth player, who was in the middle at this time - we see only a bit of an arm at the far right of this pic.
The frisbee game began with 3 kids throwing the frisbee over the kid in the middle.  Gradually more people took an interest and we ended up with a rough circle of eight, with a ninth in the middle.  If the one in the middle could catch the frisbee then whoever had thrown it had to switch places with them and they became the one in the middle.
It was hilarious fun!  I took over 300 pictures of the action.  And we all have some really great shots showing people jumping for the frisbee, running or tumbling into each other as two or more tried to get it at the same time, or just plain laughing and having fun with the game!

It's a nice way to forget the frustrations of the day!
